I’m a Tampa native and would always recommend Nick’s to anyone over other gyros. I don’t often eat out but when I do, this is the place I come for gizzards or Philly. I am highly disappointed. The shrimp was great but my 1/2lbs gizzards was literally the bottom of the pot. It was small bits of pieces. I had maybe 4-6 actual gizzards pieces. This was unacceptable.
I do not know what happened to this place but the food is terrible now. I ordered a gyro and when I picked the bag up it felt like there was almost nothing in the bag. I opened the sandwich and it was pathetically small. When I asked the lady why this was so small her response was "well they used to be big but they are not anymore." No problem... trust me I will not be coming back to this low budget place.
Fun spot. The price is right. The food is good. No one should be disappointed in a $9.99 lunch special.
